Wolf Pack Softball Moves Up In Polls

The University of Nevada softball team moved up again in the national polls this week.

In the NFCA/USA Today Division I Top 25, the Wolf Pack moved up one spot to No. 17. This matches Nevada's highest ranking in this poll, which came at the end of the 2008 regular season.

In the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25, Nevada jumped two spots to No. 19. This ranking is the Pack's highest in this poll. The previous highest ranking in the USA Softball poll was No. 20 at the end of the 2008 regular season.

Nevada went 4-1 last week at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic.

This week, Nevada will travel to face some tough competition at the 32-team Cathedral City (Calif.) Classic near Palm Springs. Nevada will play No. 2/2 Florida, No. RV/22 Ohio State, No. 8/4 Oklahoma, Maryland and UC Santa Barbara.
