2011: Led the Pack staff in almost every major pitching category, including innings pitched, wins, appearances, strikeouts and ERA ... Won 12 games, going the distance 24 times on the year ... Recorded two shutouts, including her second career no-hitter against Boston College at Hixson Park on March 6 ... Pitched over 200 innings in a season for the second time in her career, tossing a total of 214 for the season.
2010: Led the team in a number of pitching categories and moved into the top five on a handful of Nevada's all-time career records in just her second season with the program ... Went 10-10 with a 4.53 earned-run average while striking out 114 batters in 134.1 innings pitched ... Had a season-high 11 strikeouts twice during the year, first in a win against Oregon State and against in a victory over Iona ...
2009: Produced the finest freshman season by a pitcher in school history ... Went 12-8 with a 3.11 earned-run average and 177 strikeouts on the year ... Tossed the first no-hitter of her career and the third in school history with an 8-0 shutout of Boise State on April 11 ... Recorded five shutouts on the year, which tied with Katie Holverson for the team lead and is second in Nevada single-season history ... Her strikeouts-per-seven-innings ratio of 8.21 is the best single-season mark in Nevada history ... Set a school record with 15 strikeouts (most in a seven-inning game) in a win over Southern Utah on Feb. 13 ... Recorded three double-digit strikeout performances on year, including 12 against Louisiana Tech (April 4) and 11 against Sacramento State (Feb. 24) ... Won seven straight decisions from Feb. 24 to March 27 ... Won first career WAC Pitcher of the Week award on March 2 after going 3-0 with two shutouts against Sacramento State, Minnesota and Oregon State ... Earned second career POW after tossing the no-hitter at Boise State, the first road-game no-no in Nevada history and the first by a freshman in school history ... ERA was nearly a point lower (2.29) in eight WAC appearances (3-3).
A graduate of Spanish Springs High School in Sparks, Nev. ... Was a four-year letterwinner in softball and also lettered one season in volleyball ... Darby led Spanish Springs to the 4A Nevada state championship as a junior and senior and was a two-time state Softball Player of the Year by the Reno Gazette-Journal and the Las Vegas Review Journal ... Holds five state career records: wins (85), complete-game shutouts (76), consecutive shutout innings (71), no-hitters (14), strikeouts (996) ... She also holds state records for strikeouts in a season (257) and in a game (19) ... She was a four-time first-team all-league selection and a three-time all-state honoree.
Daughter of Suzanne Smith and Don Darby ... Has an older sister, Sarah, and two younger sisters, Courtney and Sydney ...
