RENO, Nev. -

The 2013 Nevada soccer schedule will feature 10 home matches and several quality non-conference opponents before the team begins its second Mountain West campaign, head coach Dr. Melissa Price announced Thursday.

"I think we have a competitive and challenging non-conference schedule, highlighted by a string of home matches to start the season," head coach Dr. Melissa Price said. "We're pleased with the additional teams in the Mountain West, which has also provided us with 10 conference matches, the most we've had the opportunity to play in program history. We are also excited to have 10 matches at Mackay Stadium in front of our fans, who are growing in number, strength, and enthusiasm. The Mountain West has removed the ban on artificial noise makers, so we're encouraging our fans to bring the noise with drums, cowbells, and other forms of sportsmanlike support for the Wolf Pack!"

Nevada begins the 2013 season with four consecutive matches at Mackay Stadium, beginning with an exhibition against a to be determined opponent on Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. The team will then battle USF Aug. 23 at 7 p.m., Eastern Washington Aug. 30 at 7 p.m., and Wright State on Sep. 1 at 1 p.m.

The Wolf Pack will participate in the South Dakota State Tournament in Brookings, S.D., taking on South Dakota State on Sep. 6 at 6 p.m., and the University of South Dakota on Sep. 8 at 10 a.m. A match-up at Portland on Sep. 13 at 7 p.m.  will close out the three-match road trip, before the team returns home to face Sacramento State on Sep. 15 at 5 p.m. Nevada will close out the non-conference slate with road games against Montana on Sep. 20 at 4 p.m. and Gonzaga on Sep. 22 at 1 p.m.

Nevada opens the Mountain West regular season with a pair of home matches, with contests against Utah State Sep. 27 at 7 p.m. and Boise State Sep. 29 at 1 p.m.. The team will travel to Fresno State for a match on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m., followed by a visit to San Jose State on Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. The Pack returns home to face Colorado State on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m., before making stops at New Mexico on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. and San Diego State Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.

Wyoming will visit Nevada Oct. 25 at 7 p.m., before Air Force comes to town for the team's  final home match Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. The Wolf Pack and Rebels will close out the regular season with a "Governor's Series Presented By NV Energy" contest Nov. 1 in Las Vegas.

The 2013 Mountain West Soccer Tournament will be held Nov. 6-10 on the campus of the University of New Mexico.
