RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada women’s soccer team fell to Fresno State by a score of 2-1 Friday night at Mackay Stadium.
The loss dropped Nevada to 3-15 (1-5 WAC), while Fresno State improved to 10-4-4 (5-1-1 WAC).
Ellie Stott opened the scoring in the game, heading a ball from Danielle Green into the back of the net in the 55th minute. It was her third goal of the season. Green’s assist came when she threw the ball in from 25 yards and Stott got onto the other end of it for the game’s first tally.
Fresno State scored in the 69th and 73rd minutes to take the advantage back from the Wolf Pack. The goals came from Morgan Castain and Laura Dodd, respectively.
