RENO, Nev. -

The University of Nevada soccer team ended its first of two final home matches at Mackay Stadium with a 1-1 tie with Wyoming Friday evening.

With the tie, Nevada sits at (4-9-4, 2-5-1 MW) on the season, while Wyoming is (7-8-3,  4-2-2) overall. The Wolf Pack is 5-5-10 under Dr. Melissa Price in overtime matches. This is the fourth overtime match for the team this season, with all four ending in a draw.

"We were disappointed with the goal that we gave up in the first half, but are happy to preserve the tie and earn a point tonight," head coach Dr. Melissa Price said. "When we got into halftime we talked about regrouping and making sure that we were exploiting some of the opportunities that Wyoming was giving us from a tactical standpoint. We had multiple chances to score late in the game, but we weren't able to put a second one away. The maturity of the team to come back to tie the game and then preserve the tie is big for us going down the final stretch of the season."

The first 20 minutes of the match were tightly contested as both squads had limited chances on offense. A streaking Bobby Reilly on the right wing sent over a cross to Kori Disarufino in the 32nd minute. Disarufino got a foot on the ball for the team's first shot on goal that fell wide right. Wyoming forward Lucie McDowell fed a ball across the Nevada box to Sara Paul, who gathered the pass and shot the ball into the net for a goal in the 24th minute. Nevada went on the offensive in the ensuing possession, as Daisha Jones-Oglesby had a shot just in front of the Cowgirls goalkeeper sail to the left of the net. McDowell looked poised to extend the Wyoming lead with a point blank shot at the Nevada goal with 17 minutes to go before the half, but Wolf Pack goalkeeper Kelsey Quintos came up with the save to keep the score 1-0. A throw-in by Danielle Green nearly bounced into the goal in the closing minutes of the half. Wyoming went into the half with a 1-0 lead.

Bobby Reilly danced around her defender in the 83rd minute and got off a strike into the back of the net to even the score at 1-1. Reilly's goal gives the junior a team leading total of four on the season. Nevada had a final opportunity to break the tie with a corner kick in the final minute, but the Wyoming defense cleared the ball and the teams headed to overtime.

With time winding down in the first overtime period, Reilly just missed sending in the game winner, as her shot missed its target and sailed left of the post. The match ended with a draw at 1-1.

Nevada will host Air Force for the team's final home game of the season Sunday afternoon. Fans are in for free with a Nevada/UNLV football ticket. Kick-off is 1 p.m.
