MISSOULA, Mont. - The Nevada Women's soccer team (0-1-1, 0-0-0 WAC) jumped out to an early lead against the Gonzaga Bulldogs Friday, eventually earning a 1-1 tie at the conclusion of extra time.

"We executed our game plan and created scoring opportunities," Head Coach Melissa Price said.  "I am very pleased."

True freshman Aleina Dominguez scored in the 17th minute of the first half on a shot that deflected off the cross bar and off Bulldogs keeper Lauren Ames before crossing the end line.  The goal was the first of the season for the Pack and Dominguez's first career point.

Fellow freshman Kori Disarufino notched an assist on the Dominguez goal, also the first point of her career.
Nevada goal keepers Dana Moreno and Marie Cove combined to make eight saves in 110 minutes, keeping the potent Gonzaga offense, which attempted 28 total shots, to only one tally.

The Pack attempted nine shots, getting three on target.

Nevada will compete again Sunday at noon when they take on Iowa State in Missoula.

"We are a better team than we were last Friday and that is very exciting," Price said.
