RENO, Nev. – The Nevada women’s golf team will compete in its second tournament of the year as it travels to the Dick McGuire Invitational, hosted by New Mexico beginning Thursday.
The 17-team event features a strong field, including Pepperdine, Oregon, UNLV and the host Lobos.
Nevada will send Nikki Prichard, Caryn Khoo, Joyce Chong, Bethany Wurster and Jordan Keyser to compete.
“This field is very strong,” first-year coach Kathleen Takaishi said. “I’m excited to see how we finish this week. We have had a great week of practice, mainly focusing on short game.”
The teams will play 36 holes on Thursday at the UNM Championship Course and finish up with 18 holes on Friday.
