Women's Golf Finishes Fifth At WAC Championships

Morgan Hill, Calif. - The Nevada women's golf team finished fifth at the 2006 WAC Championships on Wednesday. The Pack had started the day in third, but struggled on day three. San Jose State won the tournament shooting a 58-over 922.

Melanie De Leon had the low score for the Pack on Wednesday shooting a three-over 75. She led Nevada, finishing tied for fourth, with a three-round 229. De Leon was named second-team All-WAC for her performance. Nicole deGennaro tied for eighth shooting 233 and finished second for the Pack.
