Nevada to play in the Mountain West Championship

Nikki Prichard, Bethany Wurster, Carly Simpson, Louise Yi, and Caryn Khoo will play in thier first Mountain West Championship.

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - The Nevada women's golf team is in Palm Springs, Calif. to compete in its first Mountain West Championship.

Nevada will be one of the eight teams to play in the 54-hole tournament at the 6,324 yard, par-72 Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club.
The young Wolf Pack team will be made up of senior Louise Yi, sophomores Nikki Prichard and Bethany Wurster, and freshmen Caryn Khoo and Carly Simpson.
Khoo and Prichard are both in the Top-10 of the Mountain West standings. Khoo is tied for fifth with a stroke average of 75.54 and Prichard is in eighth at 75.81. Khoo tied for 18th last week as Nevada was the top Mountain West team out of the four that competed at the Fresno Lexus Classic hosted by Fresno State.
The field of teams include Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV and Wyoming.
The first 18-hole round will begin on Thursday and the tournament will continue Friday and Saturday.
