Pack women's golf travels to San Jose State

Nevada will take on five Mountain West teams

RENO, Nev. - The Nevada women's golf team is heading to San Jose, Calif. to play in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, hosted by San Jose State.

The 54-hole tournament will begin on Monday at the 6,162 yard, par-72 Almaden Golf and Country Club. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday, and the final 18-hole round will be played on Tuesday.

Nevada will send seniors Nikki Prichard and Joyce Chong, junior Bethany Wurster, sophomore Caryn Khoo, and freshman Jordan Keyser.

"We are looking forward to having a better outing this week," said head coach Kathleen Takaishi. "There were definitely positives we took from last week. The past few days we have been focusing on our short game and course management. This team has the capability of playing well. We just need to focus on the process and the things we can control."

The field of teams include Boise State, Costal Carolina, Colorado state, CSU Fullerton, Fresno State, New Mexico, Oregon, Portland State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, and UC Davis.
