Nevada 17th as Rain Postpones Aztec Spring Invitational

CHULA VISTA, Calif.   Rain postponed the second round of the 2009 Aztec Spring Invitational for the the University of Nevada women's golf team on Monday. Teams will complete the second and final round of the tournament on Tuesday morning at the par 72, 6,187-yard Salt Creek Golf Course.

Six teams, including the Wolf Pack, finished the second round on Monday, while 12 teams will finish the round on Tuesday. Nevada shot a 51-over 339 on Tuesday and stands in 17th at 77-over 653 (314-339).

Senior Melanie De Leon is tied for 52nd to lead the Wolf Pack at 14-over 158 (74-84), while freshman Jamie Yam is tied for 58th at 16-over 160 (78-82). Junior Pamela Abreu stands in a tie for 67th at 20-over 164 (80-84), while freshman Alex Borcherts (82-89=171) and sophomore Ana Patricia de la Maza (82-92=174) are tied for 83rd and 86th, respectively.

Teams will complete their second round with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Pacific Time Tuesday. Live scoring is available at www.golfstat.com, while final results will be available at www.nevadawolfpack.com.
