Nevada finishes seventh in the Mountain West Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – The Nevada women’s golf team finished the Mountain West Championship in seventh.

Nevada shot a 22-over 310 in the final round and finished the tournament with a 64-over 928.

Junior Nikki Prichard fired a four-over 76 in the final round and finished 16th with a 13-over 229. Sophomore Caryn Khoo finished tied for 17th with a 14-over 230 after shooting a seven-over 79.

Freshman Jordan Keyser finished in 26th, sophomore Carly Simpson finished tied for 27th, and junior Bethany Wurster tied for 41st.

New Mexico won the tournament with a 38-over 902. Fresno State’s Gudrun Bjorgvinsdottir won the individual tournament with a two-over 218.

This was Nevada’s last tournament and will be back in action in the fall.
