RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – The Nevada women’s golf team is in seventh after the first round of the Mountain West Championship.

Nevada shot a 20-over 308 in the first round and is five shots behind rival UNLV.

Sophomore Caryn Khoo is tied for 8th after shooting a one-over 73 in the first round. Junior Nikki Prichard fired a five-over 77 and is tied for 24th. Sophomore Carly Simpson is tied for 30th, freshman Jordan Keyser is tied for 38th, and junior Bethany Wurster is in 41st.

The second 18-hole round will be played on Friday at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course at Mission Hills Country Club.
