FRESNO, Calif. – Sophomore Caryn Khoo recorded her first top-10 finish of the season on Tuesday at the Fresno State Classic.

Khoo was tied for 18th heading into the final round, but a two-over 74 propelled her into seventh place with an 11-over 227.

Two other golfers finished in the top 20. Senior Joyce Chong finished tied for `14th with a 14-over 230. Sophomore Carly Simpson was one shot behind with a 15-over 231, finishing in 16th. Juniors Nikki Prichard and Bethany Wurster finished tied for 26th and 30th.

Nevada as a team finished in 5th with a 57-over 921 after shooting a 303 in the final round.

Three Nevada golfers were also competing individually. Freshman Jordan Keyser tied for 26th, sophomore Brittney Whatley finished 42nd, and junior Tess Jones finished 43rd.

Fresno State won the tournament with a 39-over 903. CSU-Northridge's Clariss Guce won the individual tournament with a two-over 218.

Nevada will be back in action next week when they travel to Hawaii to play in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic.
