Keyser looking for top-20 finish in Irvine

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Freshman Jordan Keyser shot rounds of 77 and 76 on Monday and is tied for 24th heading into Tuesday’s final round of the UC Irvine Invitational.
Keyser, who best career finish is a tie for 37th, leads a Nevada team that improved by 10 strokes from round one to round two during the first 36 holes on Monday. The final 18-hole round at Santa Ana Country Club is set for Tuesday.
Sophomore Caryn Khoo is tied for 34th heading into the final round while junior Nikki Prichard and sophomore Carlu Simpson are a shot back, tied for 40th. Bethany Wurster completes the Nevada contingent in 68th place.
Nevada opened with a 315 and came back with a 30-5 in round two. The Pack is in 11th place but just six shots out of seventh.
Stanford leads the way at 2 over for the tournament.
