Nevada Ends Five-Game Skid Against Oregon
The University of Nevada women's basketball team defeated Oregon 76-74 Wednesday evening to end a five-game losing streak.

The University of Nevada women’s basketball team (3-4, 0-0 MW) will close out its two-game road trip Sunday afternoon at Oregon (0-6, 0-0 Pac 12) 2 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena. Nevada trails the overall series 1-4 and will look to record its first win on the Ducks home floor. The Wolf Pack won the last meeting 76-74 during the 2011-12 season, on the late game heroics of Kate Kevorken who hit a shot at the buzzer to win it.

Freshman forward Jillian Alleyne leads Oregon with 14.2 ppg and 14.8 rpg. The Ducks will be looking for their first win on the year, as they have lost six straight to start the season.

The University of Nevada women’s basketball team began a two-game road trip with a 70-61 loss to Portland Friday evening at the Chiles Center. Wolf Pack junior Danika Sharp got Nevada out to a 10-7 lead with some strong shooting from beyond the three point line. A jumper by Portland center Erin Boettcher gave the Pilots a lead of 14-13 at the 12:23 mark. Portland stretched its lead to 11 before the Pack climbed within three on consecutive made free throws by Sharp. Portland responded with eight unanswered points and never looked back, winning the game 70-61.
