RENO, Nev. -
Wolf Pack women’s basketball seniors Danika Sharp, Arielle Wideman, and junior Emily Burns have been voted by the team as captains for the upcoming 2013-14 season.
“Our team is full of leaders, but for the second year in a row Ari, Danika, and Emily were voted captains,” head coach Jane Albright said. “All three of them were fantastic leaders at their respective high schools. They have prepared well and made their teammates better in the off-season. We are all excited about what each of them brings to the team, both on and off the court. Our team will be in good hands with them as our respective captains this season.”
Senior shooting guard Danika Sharp returns as the team’s leading scorer, ending the 2012-13 season with 13.6 points per game. The West Wendover, Nev. native started all 31 games for the team last season. Sharp earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention honors last season.
