Season tickets for the 2012-13 University of Nevada women’s basketball season are on sale now.
A new option for fans this season is the “Family Pack”. The plan costs $99 and includes two adult season tickets along with two youth season tickets. Regular season tickets are $60 for adults, $40 for seniors 65 and older, and $35 for children eighth grade and under. Each youth season ticket comes as a Pup Club Membership which includes a t-shirt, membership lanyard as well as free admission to football, volleyball, soccer, softball, baseball and discounted admission for men’s basketball. Season tickets are good for any seat in the lower bowl of Lawlor Events Center, including the cushion seats on the floor, on a first-come first-serve basis.
Nevada’s 2012-13 schedule features 15 home games, including the annual John Ascuaga’s Nugget Classic.
“I am very excited about the upcoming season and the challenge of competing against our new Mountain West opponents,” head coach Jane Albright said. “The schedule is a perfect blend of what we need to get ready for a strong conference. I look forward to seeing all of our great fans back at Lawlor Events Center.”
The Wolf Pack will host a free exhibition game against San Francisco State on Nov. 4 at 2:00 p.m. The team will open the 2012-13 regular season with a home game against Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. Nevada’s annual John Ascuaga’s Nugget Classic will take place Nov. 23-24 at Lawlor Events Center. The Pack will take on Cleveland State in the Nugget Classic opener at 2 p.m. Santa Clara and Toledo will square off in the second game at 4:30 p.m. The championship and consolation games will be played on Nov. 24 at 2 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.
Nevada will kick-off its inaugural season in the Mountain West Jan. 9 at home against Air Force at 6:30 p.m. The Pack will battle Fresno State, which made the NCAA Tournament after winning the Western Athletic Conference title last season, at home on Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. UNLV and Nevada will square off for the season’s first showdown at home on Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. The regular season will conclude on March 9 with a home game against Colorado State at 4 p.m.
Fans are invited to meet both men’s and women’s basketball teams at the annual Hoops and Treats event on Oct. 26. Children are encouraged to come in costume, as the teams will be on hand to pass out candy on the court of Lawlor Events Center. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
