Women's Basketball Offering Free Promotional Clinic Event

Clinic will be held at West Wendover High School June 1

RENO, Nev. -

The University of Nevada women's basketball team will be hold a free promotional clinic event at West Wendover High School Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.

The event is free and open to girls grades 1-8. The event will be hosted by the Nevada women’s basketball coaching staff and players. Participants will be taught about the benefits of education and fitness, along with emphasizing and teaching basketball skills.

Wolf Pack senior Danika Sharp played at West Wendover High School and currently holds the Nevada high school girls basketball state record for points scored at 2,803. Sharp was honored for the achievement last season during halftime of a West Wendover High boys varsity game. Sharp’s jersey number was retired and a banner was hung in the rafters to commemorate her achievement.
