Nevada will face Air Force Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The ninth-seeded University of Nevada women's basketball team (7-22, 2-14 MW) will face the eighth-seeded Air Force Falcons (4-25, 3-13 MW) in the play-in game of the 2013 MW Basketball Championships Tuesday night at the Thomas & Mack Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
"Each team is 0-0 in the postseason," head coach Jane Albright said. "Our young team has learned a lot from the experiences and challenges we faced in the regular season. We are excited to start with a clean slate and will look to come out ready to play Tuesday night."
Nevada and Air Force split the two games between the schools during the regular season. The Wolf Pack defeated the Falcons 67-54 in the team's Mountain West opener at Lawlor Events Center on Jan. 9. evening at Lawlor Events Center. Emily Burns led Nevada with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks for her fourth career double-double. Air Force avenged the loss with a 63-56 home victory on Feb. 9. Danika Sharp led Nevada with 16 points. Emily Burns recorded her fifth career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Arielle Wideman added 11 points and four steals in the loss. Senior guard Alicia Leipprandt leads Air Force with 13.1 ppg. The Falcons are on a four game skid, with the team's last win coming on a 77-72 home win against Boise State on Feb. 20.
