SERIES: The Wolf Pack tied the all-time series with the Lobos at 2-2 thanks to their home win on Feb. 15. The victory snapped a two-game skid to New Mexico, both of which came last season.
LAST MEETING: Nevada escaped with a 75-73 home win just two weeks ago.
THE SKINNY: Nevada goes for its fourth consecutive win Saturday afternoon and looks for its seventh win in its previous eight games ... The 43 points surrendered to Air Force last weekend is the lowest point total allowed by the Wolf Pack this season ... The Pack look to even their road record to 6-6 with a win against the Lobos ... Nevada could jump into a tie for second place in the conference standings with a win today and a loss by Fresno State ... If the season ended today, Nevada would have a first-round bye in the MW tournament ... Arielle Wideman has scored in double figures in each of her previous five games, and has led the Pack in scoring in four of those five contests, averaging 17.0 ppg along the way.
LAYUPS: As it stands, Nevada is one of four teams in the league (Colorado State, Boise State, Wyoming) to boast four of its starters averaging in double figures ... Arielle Wideman (10.6 ppg) continues to increase her scoring average after posting points in double figures in five consecutive games ... Danika Sharp (12.9), Terilyn Moe (11.5) and Mimi Mungedi (10.0) also average in double figures ... Nevada's cruising win against Air Force marked the 13th win this year when the team leading at halftime ... The team has now won six games in a row at home and look to even their road record to 6-6 with a win over the Lobos ... Mungedi's 46 blocks this season rank her first in the conference, eight ahead of Jacinta Vandenberg (Fresno State) ... `SHARP' CAREER: Senior guard Danika Sharp continues to etch her name into the Nevada career record book. She has moved into a sole possession of third place in career 3-pointers at Nevada, having drained 153 in her career. Nevada's record for career three-pointers is 212, held by Ashley Bastian (1999-2003). Sharp is also moving up the list of career free throws (256) at Nevada. She is sixth entering this game. With just 36 more points in her career, Sharp can become Nevada's 10th all-time leading scorer. She currently trails Tahnee Robinson (1,072) by 35 points.
