SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Nevada women's basketball team held on for a 99-95 Mountain West Conference win Wednesday night at San Jose State, the team's second-highest point total of the season.

The Wolf Pack (14-11, 9-5 MW) came two points shy of tying their season-best in points, a 101-point performance earlier in the year at home against the Spartans (10-15, 4-10 MW). The win tonight and a loss by Wyoming puts Nevada in a tie for third in the conference standings with Fresno State.

Nevada dominated in the paint, scoring 54 of its 99 points down low and got 35 points from its bench players.

Senior guard Danika Sharp posted 10 points in the first half, going 1-for-3 from behind the three-point line. The made shot from beyond the arc is the 151st of her career, which puts her in sole possession of third all-time in Nevada history.

After a 49-46 halftime lead, a near even second half favored the Wolf Pack, as they outscored the Spartans 50-49. San Jose State was able to hang around in the contest thanks to its play from behind the three-point line, sinking 13 shots from beyond the arc.

Sharp finished the game with 16 points and was one of four Wolf Pack in double figures. Arielle Wideman led the Pack in scoring with 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field and finished 7-of-11 from the foul line. Junior Mimi Mungedi recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds to collect her fourth career double-double. Aja Johnson rounded out the double figure scorers for Nevada, racking up 10 points, all of which were scored in the second half.

Nevada returns home to the Lawlor Events Center this Saturday (Feb. 22) for a 4 p.m. contest against visiting Air Force. The game will be broadcast at NevadaWolfPack.tv on the Mountain West Network. Don Marchand will also have the call on the new home of the Wolf Pack women's basketball team, KFOY 1060 AM, NBC Sports Radio.
