Nevada Defeats Air Force in Mountain West Opener
Nevada sophomore Emily Burns powered the Wolf Pack to a 67-54 win over Air Force in the team's Mountain West opener Wednesday evening at Lawlor Events Center.

The University of Nevada women’s basketball team (6-15, 1-7 MW) will close out a two-game road trip Saturday afternoon with a game at Air Force (2-19, 1-7 MW). Tip-off is 1:00 p.m. at Clune Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Wolf Pack leads the overall series with the Falcons 4-2. Nevada’s last win came against Air Force in the team’s Mountain West opening 67-54 win in Reno on Jan. 9. Sophomore Emily Burns led Nevada with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks for her fourth career double-double in the victory. The Falcons are currently on a six-game skid and are coming off of a close 72-67 home loss to New Mexico on Wednesday night. Air Force is led by senior guard Alicia Leipprandt’s 12.5 ppg.
