RENO, Nev. -
The University of Nevada women’s basketball team (6-14, 1-6 MW) will look to snap a six-game skid with a road game at Colorado State Wednesday night at Moby Arena in Ft. Collins, Colo. Tip-off is 6:00 p.m.
Colorado State leads the overall series with Nevada 3-1. The Rams defeated the Wolf Pack 84-57 in the team’s last meeting during the 2001-02 season in Ft. Collins. Colorado State has won the last three meetings. Nevada’s last win came during the first game between the two schools in a 69-41 home victory during the 1985-86 season. The Rams return home after splitting a two-game road trip with a 57-56 win at Boise State and a 82-67 loss at Wyoming. The team is led by junior forward Sam Martin’s 13.1 ppg., and 6.3 rpg.
“Our bench production has really picked up over our last several games,” head coach Jane Albright said. “They have stepped up and took some of the pressure off of our starters, which has allowed us to keep games close. We are looking forward to going on the road with some improved play and try to get back in the win column.”
