The University of Nevada women's basketball team (6-13, 1-4 MW) will close out a two-game home stand Saturday afternoon against New Mexico (10-9, 2-4 MW) at Lawlor Events Center. Tip-off is 4:00 p.m. Saturday's game against the Lobos is a "We Back Pat" event, as the team has partnered with Senior Care Plus to show support of former Tennessee head coach Pat Summit's foundation for Alzheimer's disease research.

Nevada leads the overall series 1-0. The Wolf Pack defeated the Lobos 70-61 at home during the 1986-87 season. New Mexico is led by senior guard Caroline Durbin 11.6 ppg. 4.3 rpg., and junior forward Deeva Vaughn 10.2 ppg., 5.2 rpg.

"We have made really good strides in some areas and need some additional improvement in a few other places ," head coach Jane Albright said. "We're at home and it is a new month. I think the "We Back Pat" day comes at a good time because it is a great cause to be associated with. Pat Summit is the greatest to ever coach the game and I started my career as her assistant. I visited with her this week and we are excited to raise awareness for her Alzheimer's disease research foundation. I hope the community comes out and helps support the cause as well."

The first 500 fans will receive a free "We Back Pat" t-shirt.
