RENO, Nev. -
The University of Nevada women's basketball team (6-9, 1-1 MW) will host Fresno State (10-6, 2-1 MW) Saturday afternoon at Lawlor Events Center. Tip-off is 4:00 p.m.
"After a disappointing road performance against a very good Wyoming team last week, it's great to be at home to face Fresno State," head coach Jane Albright said. "Having the week of practice without a game has just been what the doctor ordered for our very young team. Our group has improved with the additional reps and we will be ready to face the Bulldogs on Saturday."
Nevada trails the overall series with Fresno State 9-30. The Bulldogs have won the previous 12 meetings. Nevada's last victory came during the 2006-07 season, in a 68-61 win in Fresno. The Bulldogs defeated the Wolf Pack 85-67 in the last meeting during the 2011-12 season in Reno. Fresno State is led by junior guard Ki-Ki Moore, who is averaging 16.6 ppg. and 6.3 rpg. The Bulldogs are coming off of a 78-71 loss at Wyoming Wednesday night.
"Dads and Daughters Day"- Dads and Daughters are encouraged to come to the game and participate in a "Dads vs. Daughters" basketball shootout during halftime.
