FRESNO, Calif. – The Nevada women’s basketball team saw it’s three-game winning streak snapped on the road on Wednesday, falling 73-48 to Fresno State at the Savemart Center.

The Wolf Pack (12-11, 7-5 Mountain West), struggled from the floor, shooting just 28.6 percent from the floor, including 25.6 percent in the second half. Conversely, Fresno State (14-9, 8-4 MW) shot 46.3 percent from the floor as the Bulldogs took over sole possession of third place in the standings.

The loss also ended Nevada’s two-game win streak over the Bulldogs, which started on third floor a year ago.

Arielle Wideman was the lone Wolf Pack player in double figures, scoring 12 points to go along with four rebounds. Terilyn Moe had nine points and Mimi Mungedi scored eight for Nevada. The Wolf Pack outrebounded Fresno State 47-38.

Bree Farley led all scorers with 25 points for Fresno State.

Nevada never really got going as a hot-shooting Farley had Fresno State’s first eight points and the Bulldogs moved out to a 13-point halftime lead at 37-24. Nevada maintained its energy and intensity throughout the game but could not get the offense in gear.

Nevada will return home to play host to New Mexico on Saturday at Lawlor Events Center at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast at NevadaWolfPack.tv on the Mountain West Network. Don Marchand will also have the call on the new home of the Wolf Pack women’s basketball team, KFOY 1060 AM, NBC Sports Radio.
