Lisa Ballenger enters her second season with the Nevada women's basketball program in 2014-15, as the team's graduate assistant.

Ballenger comes to the Wolf Pack from the Chicago area where she was the Director of Women's Basketball for "Joy of the Game" in Deerfield, Ill. She also worked with the Chicago Sky in the WNBA, helping support basketball operations under head coach Dana "Pokey" Chatman. Lisa has coached and worked with student athletes for several local high schools and various AAU organizations.

"I am thrilled to be apart of the Wolf Pack family here at Nevada," Ballenger said. "It is an honor and privilege to serve under Jane Albright, and the entire coaching staff."

She started her college basketball career at Quincy University (DII) where she help lead the Lady Hawks to a 22-6 record and a berth into the NCAA tournament. She received Academic All-American honors during her time as student-athlete. She finished her basketball career with Wheaton College under Hall of Fame Coach Beth Baker. After graduation, Ballenger was the voice of the Wheaton Thunder on WETN radio, where she provided color commentary during the 2011-12 season.

Ballenger is the daughter of Gary and Cathy Ballenger and has three brothers, Jonathan, Peter and Daniel.

A native of Deerfield, Ill., Ballenger graduated from Wheaton College with a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2011 and is working towards a master's degree in special education at the University of Nevada.
