SOPHOMORE (2016-17) – Saw time in all 30 games, making 25 starts … Logged nearly 800 minutes on the floor to average 25.6 minutes per game … Played a career-high 39 minutes during the triple overtime victory over Hawai’i (12/18) … Scored 247 points on the year, averaging 8.2 points per game … Scored in double figures in 11 games and posted a team-best five double-doubles … Grabbed 224 rebounds (93 off, 131 def) on the year, averaging 7.5 rebounds per game, which ranked ninth in the Mountain West … Had nine games with double digit rebounds … Shot 44.7 percent (105-of-235) from the field (second-best on the team) and 72.5 percent (37-of-51) from the free throw line … Dished out 23 assists and had 50 blocks and 37 steals … Her 50 blocks not only led the team but was the fourth-most in a single season in program history … Averaged 1.7 blocks per game, third-best in the conference and ranked in the top 75 nationally … Moved into the top 10 in career blocks at Nevada as well … Tied her career-high of six blocks vs. New Mexico (1/7) … Posted seven games with at least three blocks … Recorded the first 20-point game of her career with 20 points in the 108-85 win over San Jose State (2/28), going 8-of-11 from the field … Pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds during the win over Holy Names (12/13) … Opened the season with a double-double (12 pts, 10 rbs) against Long Beach State (11/11) and had back-to-back double-doubles at Fresno State (1/21) and vs. Boise State (1/25).

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2015-16) – Played in all 30 games during her first full season with the Wolf Pack, making eight starts … Logged 645 minutes on the floor, averaging 21.5 minutes per game … Got her first collegiate start at home vs. Utah Valley (11/27) … Played a season-high 35 minutes during the home finale against Boise State (3/1) … Scored in double figures in seven games, including a season-best 16 points in Hawaii vs. Washington State (11/20) … Averaged 5.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest … Totaled 177 points, 165 rebounds (63 off, 102 def), 16 assists, 37 blocks and 43 steals … She led the team in steals and blocks and her blocking total is tied for seventh in Nevada single-season history … Shot 44.9 percent (71-of-158) from the field and 59.3 percent (35-of-59) from the foul line … Scored her first collegiate points during the first game of the year against San Diego (11/13) … Blocked a season-high six shots at home vs. Utah Valley (11/27) … Scored in 26 of 30 games and grabbed at least one rebound in all but one game … Collected a season-best 13 rebounds during the home finale vs. Boise State (3/1), where she also notched four steals.

HIGH SCHOOL – Played at Deer Valley High School in Antioch, Calif. for coach Mark Hurtado … Team captured three league titles and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) North Coast Section D1 championship in 2014 … Deer Valley also reached the regional semifinals of the CIF D1 State Girls Basketball Championship … Named first team all-league following her senior season, second team all-league as a junior and honorable mention as a sophomore … Finished second in her league in blocks as a senior … Posted career-high numbers in a slew of categories during her senior season at Deer Valley, Cephas shot 49 percent from the field, en route to scoring a total of 222 points for the year … Collected 236 rebounds (9.1 rpg), 33 assists (1.3 apg), 101 steals (3.9 spg) and 116 blocks (4.5 bpg) … Four-year letterwinner in basketball.

PERSONAL – Daughter of Harold and Martha Cephas … Has two brothers, Vincent and Xavier … Real name is Alejandra, goes by the nickname AJ … Criminal justice major … Father Harold played football at Arizona State, Uncle Ben Marin competed in track at Arizona State, cousin Jessica Vargas played basketball at Loyola Marymount, Uncle Tom Marin competed in track at Northern Arizona … Chose Nevada because of the nice campus, good coaches and good education … Also recruited by UC Riverside, Delaware State, Weber State, West Point, Sacramento State and Cal Poly Pomona … Enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with friends in her spare time, works at a daycare and volunteers at Kaiser Permanente … The most memorable game of her career is defeating the No. 1 seed Monte Vista in the NCS semifinals … Played AAU ball for the Stockton Mustangs.
