Pack Travels to Moraga for Saint Mary's Invitational

RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada Men's Tennis Team will travel to Moraga, Calif. to compete in the St. Mary's Invitational Friday.

The tournament was scheduled to take place a week ago but had to be cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Pack will take eight team members to the tournament, including Stefan Dmitrovic, who did not travel to the USTA/ITA Regional Championships two weeks ago in Las Vegas.

The Pack saw some success at the Regional Championships, with five players winning at least one singles match and the team of Wessim Derbel and Quentin Mege advancing to the round of 16 in the open doubles draw.

Derbel, a junior, is Nevada's most promising returning player in 2010. He played primarily out of the No. 2 singles position last season and won a career high 16 matches.  Mege is a freshman from Nice, France.

The pair's run was cut short not by an opponent but by the weather, as consolation doubles play was cancelled due to rain.
