Men's Tennis Heads to Cal





The Nevada men’s tennis team will return to action Friday when it opens up play in the Chandler Cup Invitational hosted by the University of California.

The Wolf Pack is one of 15 teams participating in the tournament and there are nine Nevada players in the 98-player field. The Nevada contingent is made up of: Junior Benjamin David; sophomores Alex Daruty, Augustin Myard, Laurent Garcin, Guerin Smith, Antone Bulich, Orion Ashmore and Gabe Kanzelmeyer and freshman Kristian Kuharszky.

There are three flights of singles play and three flights of doubles play scheduled for the tournament. One round of doubles will be played on Friday followed by two rounds of singles play in each flight. Each flight will have a consolation bracket. The tournament will continue on Saturday and conclude on Sunday.

The tournament marks Nevada’s second-to-last tournament of the fall season. After the Chandler Cup, the Wolf Pack will travel to the Pacific Fall Tournament in Stockton, Calif., next weekend.
