LAS VEGAS -- The University of Nevada men's tennis team picked up four wins at the ITA Mountain Regionals on Friday.
Day three of play saw the Wolf Pack pick up two singles victories, both by Moez Echargui. He won by default in his third round singles consolation match over Luis Ramirez of New Mexico State, and he defeated Grant Taylor of Air Force Academy in the fourth round in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals.
The Wolf Pack notched two doubles wins on the day, led by Victor Ouvrard and Fernando Sunago. They advanced to the quarterfinals after a victory against Daniel Fernandez and Naveen Manivannan of New Mexico State University 8-4.
Also earning a doubles win was the team of Echargui and freshman Andrew Poustie, as they cruised into the quarterfinals after a 8-1 win over Tanner Dance and Matt Sweet of Utah State.
Play continues tomorrow in Las Vegas for the Wolf Pack with day four of the ITA Mountain Regionals.
