RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team will be in action again when it rolls down to Las Vegas to continue its fall season at the ITA Mountain Regionals beginning on Thursday.
It's been a hot start to the season for the Wolf Pack, which first competed at the ITA All-American Tournament in late September and then at the UC Davis Aggie Invitational on Oct. 4. At the tournament Aggie Invitational, senior co-captain Quentin Mege captured an ITA California Singles draw title, winning four singles matches en route to the title. Mege and doubles partner Billy Bumgardner also made it to the finals in their doubles draw, but were defeated in the finals.
The other team co-captain, senior Victor Ouvrard has faced tough opponents from the SEC and Big Ten in the ITA All-American Tournament. At the Aggie Invitational, Ouvrard faced more stiff competition from the PAC-12, and defeated Yale Goldberg of Stanford. Sophomore Andrew Poustie, who usually anchors the No. 4 singles rotation spot, has been victorious in decisive matches against foes Stanford, Oregon, and North Carolina.
The ITA Mountain Regionals begin on Thursday, Oct. 16.
