ITA Has Nevada Seventh in Mountain Region

Nevada was ranked seventh in the mountain region for 2011-12 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Monday, while graduated senior Wessim Derbel earned the highest individual ranking of any Wolf Pack player at 11th.

The Pack was one spot ahead of rival UNLV, who came in at eighth among the 10 teams in the region in the final 2011-12 poll.

Victor Ouvrard also achieved individual honors, as the junior from Tours, France was tabbed as the 18th ranked player in the region.

Boise State was the top team according to the ITA, while Georgy Batrakov of BYU nabbed top individual honors.
