Men's Tennis Finishes Regular Season
April 21, 2006
Boise, Idaho - The Nevada men's tennis team fell to Hawai'i 4-1, on Friday. This ended the Pack's 2006 season. Nevada finished with a 5-16 record overall and 0-4 in the WAC.
The Wolf Pack entered the WAC Championships with only five players, putting the Pack at a huge disadvantage. Nevada still managed to win the doubles point, even though there were only two teams. The Pack couldn't keep things going in singles competition though and the match ended without results from Tonelli and Popovic.
The Pack saw a number of high points this season, including performances by Milos Popovic and Guilluame Tonelli. Tonelli earned WAC player of the week honors for the week of March 6. The Pack will lose three seniors, Popovic, Max Volger and Rafal Stupka.
