RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team travels to Boise, Idaho for a Mountain West showdown with No. 44 Boise State on Friday at 1 p.m.
The Wolf Pack (9-10, 1-3 MW) will have be on the road again after splitting its last two contests at home against New Mexico and Air Force. Two Wolf Pack players have double digit singles wins this season, freshmen Robert Allan and Andrew Poustie. Allan leads with 12, while Poustie has 10. In doubles, two pairs are tied with eight victories. Moez Echargui and Quentin Mege come in at 8-6, while Poustie and Fernando Sunago are 8-3. The injury bug was something that was plaguing the Pack, but head coach Erik Burton says that is no longer an issue.
"We are improving and have our injured players back and ready to battle," he said. "Boise will be a tough slate for us but we are ready."
The Broncos (16-9, 4-1 MW) come into the matchup having won its past two matches, and has won ten of its last eleven. Andrew Bettles brings in a 20-5 from position one to lead the Broncos, while Nathan Sereke is 12-7 from position two. Three other Broncos also have double digit singles victories. In doubles, Bettles has paired with Sereke for 14 wins from position two. Garrett Patton and Scott Sears have snatched 16 victories this season, with 14 from position two.
