Mege named Mountain West Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --  Senior Quentin Mege has been named the Mountain West Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played March 26-April 1. It is the first MW weekly accolade for Mege this season.

MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Senior, Nice, France/La Vanade

  • Went 2-0 in singles play to help Nevada to a pair of 4-0 home wins over UC Davis and UC Irvine on March 28.
  • Playing in the No. 4 singles slot, Mege topped Parker Kelly of UC Davis in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. He also dispatched Jonathan Hammel of UC Irvine, 6-2, 6-3.

"I am pleased to be honored," Mege said. "I am not the first player (on the team) who has received the MW Player of the Week award. It shows the solid season that we are having so far."
