Nevada Beats Conference Foe Utah State 5-2
RENO, Nev. – The Nevada men’s tennis team (5-6, 2-2) defeated Utah State (5-9, 2-2) by a final score of 5-2 at Lakeridge Tennis Club Saturday.
Nevada failed to win the doubles point, but came on strong in singles to down the Aggies and take their second WAC victory of the year. It was also the Pack’s second win in as many days.
In singles play, Nevada won at each position except for No. 3. The Pack was resilient in the win, taking both of the singles matches that went three sets. The clinching match was one of those three setters, as Stefan Dmitrovic won in position No. 4 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
Nevada will return to play after a weekend away from the court when they take on New Mexico State April 9 in Boise, Idaho.
