The women's tennis team will now take on Northern Arizona, Friday at 5 p.m. at Lakeridge Tennis Center in Reno. The match was initially scheduled to be played outdoors, Saturday afternoon, but threatening weather has caused the teams to make the schedule change.
The Nevada men's tennis team will take on Northern Arizona Saturday at 5 p.m. The match will also be played indoors at Lakeridge.
The Nevada women's tennis team has won its last two matches, edging out 4-3 victories over New Mexico and Hawai'i.
In its last match against the Rainbow Wahine, Nevada earned the doubles point, and freshman Michelle Okhremchuk defeated No. 87 Katarina Poljakova at the No. 1 singles position. The win moved the Wolf Pack women to 4-7.
The NAU women are 7-6 and have earned wins in their last two matches against Weber State and Idaho State.
In the second match of the weekend, Saturday, the Nevada men's tennis team will open its home action against a 4-9 Northern Arizona team, coming off two wins of its own.
The Lumberjacks have defeated Portland State and Idaho State, both by a score of 7-0, in their last two matches.
The Nevada men's team is coming off a rain-shortened defeat to Pacific in its last match, and will look to get their third dual win of the season Saturday.
