ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The Nevada men’s tennis team dropped its fourth straight match, losing 6-1 to New Mexico State on Sunday at the Lobo Tennis Club.
Nevada is now 5-7 on the season.
The Wolf Pack’s lone point came from freshman Laurent Garcin, who won his No. 1 singles match in straight sets. Nevada’s other five singles players lost, four of them in straight sets. Freshman Alex Daruty put up a strong fight at the No. 2 spot, losing in a third-set tie-breaker (10-8).
In doubles play, New Mexico State won the point after taking two of the three matches. Nevada’s lone win came from Garcin and Guerin Smith in the No. 3 spot.
