Pack to Take on Ducks, Huskies

RENO, Nev. – The Wolf Pack men’s tennis team (2-3, 1-2) will travel to Eugene, Ore. this weekend for matches against Washington and Oregon.

Nevada will meet No. 23 Washington (9-1) Saturday, closing out competition on the road trip with a match against Oregon (9-2) Sunday.  Both teams competed in pre-season tournaments, adding to their match total this season.

The Pack is coming off a 6-1 defeat of UC Riverside on the road Sunday, inside the SRC Tennis Center in Riverside, Calif.

Washington’s only loss so far this season came on the road and the Pack is hoping to catch the Huskies napping away from home, where they are 3-1.  Washington has proved much tougher in Seattle, where they are a perfect 6-0.

All three of Oregon’s doubles teams (Cornelissen-Verdasco, Bjerke-Mortera, Izquierdo-Clissold) are ranked in the top-50 of the ITA Tennis poll, and the Ducks will look to make a push into the national rankings with quality matches this weekend.

Full results will be available at nevadawolfpack.com immediately following the matches.
