EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team won three Yellow Flight and five Green Flight matches at the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Invitational Friday.

Wessim Derbel advanced to the quartefinals of the green flight with a 7-6, 6-5 victory over Matt Stith of Washington.  The doubles team of Victor Ouvrard and Moez Echargui won two green-flight doubles matches Friday, moving the pair into the semis of their flight.

In the yellow flight, Nathan Reix, Jordan Rozenfeld and the team of Rozenfeld and Philip Hinojosa each won matches for the Wolf Pack on day one. Fernando Sunago earned a bye into round two and will join his teammates in the second round Saturday morning.

Reix defeated Torres Vidano of Idaho 6-2, 6-3 in early singles action, and was joined in the second round by Rozenfeld, who defeated Alec Marx of Portland State 7-6, 6-0.

Rozenfeld and Hinojosa defeated Nate Chart and Sean Sullivan 8-2 for a spot in the second round of doubles play.

Play will continue at 8 a.m. Saturday morning, with the yellow flight matches being played first and green flight matches tentatively scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
