Ouvrard and Allan's NCAA run comes to an end

ATHENS, Ga. – The Nevada men’s tennis doubles team of Victor Ouvrard and Robert Allan were defeated 7-6, 5-7, 6-3 in the opening round of the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Doubles Championship Thursday afternoon.
The Wolf Pack lost to the doubles team of Alexis Heugas and Nick Jones of Virginia Commonwealth, who entered the day as the 42nd-ranked men’s doubles team in the country. Ouvrard and Allan came into the match ranked No. 64 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association doubles rankings.
“This team of Allan/Ouvrard has battled the entire season and I am thankful to be a part of this great year,” head coach Erik Burton said. “They are currently the best Nevada Wolf Pack doubles team ever, and I am proud of them for their efforts and their desire!”
Ouvrard and Allan received the automatic qualifying bid for the Mountain West after one of the best seasons in school history. The duo was 21-4 overall on the year with a 16-3 mark in dual play. Ouvrard capped his senior season as the Mountain West Player of the Year and the ITA Regional Player of the Year.
