The men's 2011-12 team in action

At Nevada:2013-14 (Sophomore):Bumgardner tallied a 4-5 singles record in 2013-14, while also 1-1 in dual action ... His 1-1 record came from court six, and was 3-4 in tournament play in fall 2013.2012-2013 (Freshman) Bumgardner was 0-2 in tournament singles play. "Billy will definitely have a great shot to see some time in our line up. His improvement has been consistent," head coach Erik Burton said.2011-12 (Redshirt) Did not compete

Prior to Nevada: A graduate of the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, S.C. ... Louisiana Clay Court Doubles Champion ... Ranked second in the state of Louisiana in his age group ... Reached the 44th ranking in the gulf states.

Personal: The son of Lewis and Ruth Bumgardner ... Chose Nevada over the University of New Orleans and UConn among other for the community environment and campus ... Father Lewis is a legal advisor for NATO's Allied Command Transformation, Staff Element Europe and as a result Bumgardner has lived in 12 places ... Includes four different countries(Germany, Croatia, USA and Belgium) and 8 different states (California, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Virginia, Louisiana, South Carolina and Nevada).
