RENO, Nev. – The Nevada men’s golf team will close out action for the fall beginning Thursday at the Pacific Fall Invitational in Stockton, Calif.
The tournament is the location of one of the top performances in school history as Nevada shot its best two rounds ever at last year’s event.
Sitting in ninth place after the first round, Nevada fired a school-record round of 269 (19 under) in round two. The Pack then came back with a 24-uner 264 in the final round and finished a shot back and in second place. Taylor Knoll and Ryan Mulvany tied for third individually last year.
This year, Nevada will send Brian Knoll, Ryan Mulvany, Gustavo Chuang, Nicholas Smits and Rhyne Jones to compete.
The tournament will be played at Stockton Country Club and the 54-hole tournament will
be played over three days. Teams competing are: Army, BYU, Charlotte, Denver, Fresno State, Kansas State, Long Beach State, Nevada, Pacific, Santa Clara, St. Mary's and UC Davis.
