RENO, Nev. – The Nevada men’s golf team returns to competition on Monday at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, hosted by New Mexico State.
Nevada will send Brian Knoll, Nicholas Smits, Ryan Mulvany, Rhyne Jones and Josh Baskins to the tournament.
“After a three-week break, the guys are ready to get back in action,” Nevada coach Jacob Wilner said. “This course sets up well for our games and our expectations are high.”
The tournament will take place at the New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M. The championship layout is a 7,074-yard, par-71 configuration, and the greens feature bent grass. The format calls for 36 holes of continuous play (foursomes) on Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. (MT) and 18 holes on Tuesday in a shotgun format at 8 a.m. (MT)
The field consists of New Mexico State, Kansas, Wichita State, UTEP, UTSA, Nebraska, Texas State, Northern Colorado, UT Arlington, San Houston State, Colorado State, Air Force, UMKC, Nevada, Arizona, UC Riverside and Oral Roberts. No live scoring is available.
