RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada men’s golf team will kick off the 2012-13 season on Monday when the Wolf Pack travels to play in the Ram Master Invitational hosted by Colorado State.
The 15-team field will be participating in a 54-hole tournament to be played on the par 70, 7,121-yard Fort Collins (Colo.) Country Club. Playing in threesomes, the teams will play 36 holes in a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. MST on Monday, Sept. 17. The final 18-hole round will be played on Tuesday. The low four individual scores will determine the team scores for each round.
Junior Brian Knoll will lead the young Wolf Pack contingent into the first event of the year. Knoll and junior-college transfer Ryan Mulvany are the lone upperclassmen on the Wolf Pack roster. Sophomores Gustavo Chuang, Zak Griffiths and Taylor Knoll round out the Pack’s squad for the week.
The Wolf Pack will see a handful of Mountain West at the event beyond the host Rams. Air Force, Boise State and Wyoming will also be in the field.
