Nevada to Play in the Mountain West Championship

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Nevada men’s golf team is in Tucson, Ariz. to compete in its first Mountain West Championship.

Nevada will be one of nine teams to play in the 54-hole tournament at the 7,144 yard, par-71 Catalina Course at Tucson National.

Juniors Brian Knoll and Ryan Mulvany will make up the only upperclassmen on the team. Sophomores Taylor Knoll and Gustavo Chuang, and freshman Kit Carson will make up the rest of the team.

The field of teams include Air Force, Boise State, Colorado Sate, Fresno State, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV and Wyoming.

The first 18-hole round will begin on Friday and the tournament will continue Saturday and Sunday.
