Nevada to Compete in the Cowboy Classic

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Nevada men’s golf team is in Scottsdale, Ariz. to play in the Cowboy Classic, hosted by Wyoming.

Nevada will be one of 24 teams that will compete in the 54-hole tournament at the 7,133 yard, par 70 Talking Stick Golf Club. Nevada will play two 18-hole rounds starting on Monday.

The young Nevada team will be led by Juniors Ryan Mulvany and Brian Knoll. Sophomores Taylor Knoll and Andrew Cornella, and freshman Kit Carson will make up the rest of the team.

The field of teams include, Arizona, Gonzaga, Colorado, Old Dominion, Northern Colorado, Weber State, UC Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Kansas State, Colorado State, UTEP, UC Northridge, Utah State, Wichita State, Utah, Idaho, UC Riverside, Hawaii, Tulsa, St. Mary’s College, and fellow Mountain West members Wyoming, Air Force, and Boise State.

The tournament begins with two 18-hole rounds on Monday.
