Pack men's golf to play in the Redhawk Invitational

The team will play 36 holes on Monday.

RENO, Nev. - The Nevada men's golf team is heading to University Place, Wash. to play in the Redhawk Invitational, hosted by Seattle University.

The 54-hole tournament will begin on Monday at the 7,047 yard, par-70 Chambers Bay, the site of the 2015 US Open Championship. The team will play 36 holes on Monday, with the final 18-hole round on Tuesday.

Nevada will send seniors Brian Knoll, Ryan Mulvany, and Josh Baskins, junior Nicholas Smits, and freshman Rhyne Jones.

"The field of teams is incredibly strong," said head coach Jacob Wilner. "We are looking to keep our solid play going this week."

The field of teams include Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, CSU Northridge, Denver, Long Beach State, North Carolina State, Northern Colorado, Northern Illinois, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego, Seattle, Seaton Hall University, St. John's, UCLA, and Washington.
